E4 have recently acquired this US import and I’ve watched the first two episodes. As it stands I’ll give it just one more ep. as it’s too obvious even for me and I really can suspend disbelief when I want to, trust me?
The acting is high-pantomime which suits the MO of the show but grates after a while and is exaggerated by the melodramatic soundtrack. That’s probably the biggest shame of the show that Mark Isham – of Tibet fame – is not up to par either. There’s a whole lot of nothing going on and it’s doing it really obviously. I’ll give the 3rd ep a go but I can’t see how this storybook story can be spun out for 22 episodes.
