The last 3 weeks in the US have felt like standing on the shore as the water recedes. Eyes closed, listening to the sea washing the shingle; a favourite quiet place for me. My break has been like 3 weeks of that, calming.
Now, in the quiet of 4am and the maelstrom of jet lag, my mind has started to wander again, kicking back into gear slowly and it feels as thought the tide is coming back in, starting to wash around my ankles and rising at the prospect of a return to normality; whatever that my be?
The attempt to maintain that period of calm and focus for a long as possible before emails, phone calls and life in general invades. It’s been fun 🙂
